Welcome to the YZS

The Young Zoroastrians Society, founded in 1920, is a century-old Scouts and Guides movement dedicated to shaping confident, resilient, and community-minded Zoroastrian youth. What began with the 16th East Bombay Scout Group and later expanded to the 71st East Bombay Guide Group has grown into a vibrant space for adventure, learning, and leadership.

Through camps, meetings, and outdoor experiences, we build character, develop essential life skills, and foster a deep respect for nature and service. Y.Z.S. continues to inspire new generations to lead with integrity and uphold the values of our community.

Activities and Annual Events

Weekly Meetings

Guides – Saturdays, 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM; A weekly space for our Girls to connect, learn new skills, and plan upcoming adventures.

Scouts – Sundays, 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM; An energetic start to the week where our Boys play sports, tackle challenges, and learn together.

Summer & Winter Camps

Our camps are immersive outdoor experiences where boys and girls learn survival skills, build teamwork, and create lasting memories. It’s where they test their abilities and discover real resilience

Investiture Ceremony

A meaningful milestone where boys and girls officially join the Scout and Guide family through a ceremony of commitment and pride

Annual Day

A celebration of our collective achievements, shared stories, and the year’s journey — ending with a joyful community dinner.

Night Games & Bombay Hike

A unique after-dark adventure with clue-based challenges that push boys and girls to work together, stay alert, and think fast. It is combined with an exploration of South Bombay through a guided city walk and quiz, completed safely while following traffic rules.

Handicraft

A creative space where boys and girls learn knotting, crafting, and hands-on skills to make something meaningful with their own hands.
